Fishcoder helps people monitor rivers more easily. The goal is to support preservation of Atlantic wild salmon by making station status, clip history, and playback simple to use.
The service is still fairly new, but the goal is clear: combine data from multiple sources to provide a fuller picture of fishing activity and river conditions across major rivers in Norway.
Start on the front page and use the station list or map to find the river you care about, then check the status indicator for station health. Open a station to enter the player, browse clips, jump by date, and review footage over time to follow migration signals and changing river conditions.
For faster use, press Space to play or pause, Arrow Up for the previous clip, and Arrow Down for the next. Use the seek bar for exact moments and fullscreen for detail; on mobile, controls are optimized for quick one-handed checks by the river.

Fishcoder was created by Bjørn Torleiv Wahl, a web designer and angler who spends much of the summer in Osfossen as a guide and river keeper. You can read more about the river at osen-fishing.com.
